Arlington, VA - Anna-Kate's Closet obviously isn't just your typical children's clothing store...in fact it is so special, it has been selected for the 2008 publication of "Treasures of Virginia". This beautiful coffee table book is an insider's guide to the best of Virginia, with notable places that are both rewarding and memorable. Open less than a year, Anna-Kate's Closet (at the corner of Lee Highway and North Harrison Street) is fast becoming the darling of Arlington; with clothes that would be the envy of any little girl or boy. Truly unique and hard to find anywhere else, these lovingly made creations come from non-mainstream designers, a refreshing departure in this mass-produced, copycat world.

Dawn Frattarelli opened the boutique to give her clients a very special experience, and devotes numerous hours researching and scouting out new local and international designers, who are not represented at trade shows, but who create their own fine handiwork, sized for women, babies, toddlers and tweens. In keeping with the theme, the store interior is departure from the ordinary, with built-in honey colored wood display shelves resembling the inside of a designer closet, enhanced with inviting music and scented candles. Loyal customers have discovered hand-embroidered infant/toddler outfits, cotton cashmere sweaters and blankets, new vintage-style clothing, and a special line exuding 100 % Southern charm. Moms are spoiled, too, with a number of specialty items to keep them organized and in style.

Anna- Kate's is very much a part of the local community and surrounding areas its serves, donating brand new clothing and gift certificates to public and private schools, local women's and infant shelters.
